Balancing Family & Home-based Business

1. Stay connected on the run. Use your mobile phone to its potential with calendar and reminders, internet and social media connections, email, business podcasts, music.

2. Work in time-blocks during the day with a Default Diary. Focus on that area only  during that time-block. Discuss times with your family.
  • Family & House
  • Business Work
  • Social & Networking
  • Relationship
  • Me Time
3. Set a Family & House time-block after school drop-off for any school, shopping, family or household tasks. Get daily family tasks done so you're free to start your business work. Make sure you switch to Business Work on time.

4. Keep your Task List lean and avoid overwhelm. Use time-blocks instead for daily tasks that need to be done but don't need to be listed. You know what needs doing.

5. Work your online database. Set tasks and reminders for clients that come through to your mobile.

6. Build a network of support people and contractors and give them your support.

7. You, your health and knowledge are the best asset for your business. Block out Me Time for doing what you love, exercising and relaxing.  Look after yourself and your health.
